This standard mainspring vise has a solid lower jaw and a key style screw to compress the mainspring. A must have in the tool box. From builders to shooters, this is a required item in the day to day maintenance and routine of taking care of your muzzleloader lock. Be careful to only compress your spring enough to remove it. Never compress the spring more than the lock itself would compress it. It WILL break!
