This is the box known as the "whale tail" from an original rifle by Lebanon School master gunsmith J.P. Beck. Finial: 2 3/16" x 3 3/16". Door: 1 3/16" x 4 1/2" Widest sideplate: 13/16" x 5". Door is intentionally slightly offset from center. Not engraved.
