This large single door box is a copy from the original "John Fries Gun" believed to have been made by Andrew Verner. It is an early style prior to multiple piece patchboxes. Verner worked in Bucks County, so this box would be appropriate for early Allentown rifles as well. Not engraved. Springs not included. You will need to purchase separately a push button release kit which contains the springs.
