This lock has a slimmer plate than the Gibbons style lock. It is a recreation of the lock style typically seen in early J&S Hawken rifles circa 1825-1840 as well as guns from New England, later Pennsylvania and Southern guns. They were the commercial lock of the period. The Warranted lock has the cut-out for a snail breech with appropriate hammer and mates to L&R #31380 hooked breech for 15/16 barrels; and, hooked breech #29790 for 1 inch barrels.
