This old nitric acid formula enhances the 'curl' in your curly maple stock. To use, apply generously with one of our swabs (#16960), and allow to set for a few minutes. (Be careful not to char the sharp edges of your stock!). This activates the reaction between the acid and the iron, which is dissolved in the product, leaving a beautiful reddish brown color. At this point, some people neutralize with a baking soda and water solution.
