This pistol is the second standardized model of the French military dragoon flintlock pistol. It features a 12” barrel, which remained the standard issue until 1760. It was produced in a plain soldiers model “D” and a fancier “C” grade suitable for officers. Both versions can be made from this stock and mountings by just changing the trigger guard.

Our pistol stock is available in walnut or curly maple (walnut is the proper choice). These stocks are inlet for the barrel, lock, trigger, ramrod, and buttcap. This model uses a 12" long barrel, 5/16" ramrod, L&R Classic unbridled flintlock and our reproductions of the appropriate Type D hardware. We offer the hardware in brass, steel, and German silver.
